Lexaay

Singer/Dancer/Songwriter

Lexaay is a multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges music, dance, and storytelling to explore the complexity of the modern feminine experience. Rooted in movement and memory, her artistry is a reflection of both technical excellence and raw emotional truth. Originally from Springfield, Missouri, she began formal dance training at the age of three and vocal training by ten. These dual passions would go on to shape not just her career, but the very way she moves through the world.

A graduate of the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and later Temple University, Lexaay is trained in both classical and commercial dance styles and holds degrees in Dance Performance & Choreography and Strategic Communications. Her background as a performer is rich with accolades—from being named the Rose Vernick 'Most Promising Performer' to gracing the stage of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.—but her greatest evolution came when she chose to reclaim her voice through songwriting.

In the wake of a pandemic that reshaped the dance industry and her personal trajectory, Lexaay returned to music with renewed purpose. Her debut single, No Rest, released independently in 2020, earned over 100,000 streams and marked the beginning of a new chapter. Her follow-up EP, Wild But True, expanded her reach to listeners in over 80 countries and introduced her signature blend of danceable production with diary-like lyricism.

Now, Lexaay is preparing to release her most dynamic work to date—an 8-track EP titled NEXT, … Read More
