Madison Scott’s story is far from over. This week on Target Talk, we sit down with the former Ole Miss star to talk through every step of her journey. From growing up in Indian Head, Maryland to becoming a McDonald’s All-American, helping rebuild a program in the SEC, and getting drafted to the W, Madison has always moved with purpose. She breaks down why she chose Ole Miss, what kept her grounded through the hype, and how her faith has carried her through every challenge.


She opens up about the experience of being waived by the Dallas Wings, how it’s only added fuel to the fire, and what she knows she can bring to a WNBA roster. Madison Scott is a nationally recognized student-athlete, leader, and community advocate who served as a Team Captain for the Ole Miss Women’s Basketball team. A native of Indian Head, Maryland, Madison was a five-star recruit ranked in the ESPN HoopGurlz Top 15, a McDonald’s All-American, and a Jordan Brand Classic selection. She made history as the first McDonald’s All-American to sign with Ole Miss, ushering in a new era for the program.

At the University of Mississippi, Madison majored in Psychology with a minor in Sports Administration, all while excelling as a key contributor to the Rebels' rise in the SEC. Known for her defensive tenacity, versatility, and leadership, she has earned numerous accolades including First Team All-SEC, SEC All-Defensive Team, Second Team All-SEC, SEC Freshman of the Year, and selections to prestigious national watch lists like the Naismith and Wooden Award lists. In the 2023–2024 season, she was also chosen as a representative on the SEC Leadership Council. This past year, Madison was honored with the Gillom Trophy, awarded annually to the top women’s college basketball player in Mississippi.

Madison is the proud founder of the Madi Scott Basketball Foundation, a nonprofit organization established to create opportunities for youth through basketball skill development and life skill preparation.
