Singer/Dancer/Songwriter

Lexaay is a multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges music, dance, and storytelling to explore the complexity of the modern feminine experience. Rooted in movement and memory, her artistry is a reflection of both technical excellence and raw emotional truth. Originally from Springfield, Missouri, she began formal dance training at the age of three and vocal training by ten. These dual passions would go on to shape not just her career, but the very way she moves through the world.

A graduate of the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and later Temple University, Lexaay is trained in both classical and commercial dance styles and holds degrees in Dance Performance & Choreography and Strategic Communications. Her background as a performer is rich with accolades—from being named the Rose Vernick 'Most Promising Performer' to gracing the stage of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.—but her greatest evolution came when she chose to reclaim her voice through songwriting.

In the wake of a pandemic that reshaped the dance industry and her personal trajectory, Lexaay returned to music with renewed purpose. Her debut single, No Rest, released independently in 2020, earned over 100,000 streams and marked the beginning of a new chapter. Her follow-up EP, Wild But True, expanded her reach to listeners in over 80 countries and introduced her signature blend of danceable production with diary-like lyricism.

Now, Lexaay is preparing to release her most dynamic work to date—an 8-track EP titled NEXT, expected to drop in late June 2025. Designed as a love letter to dancers and movement artists, NEXT affirms her commitment to creating music that lives as fully in the body as it does in the heart. It’s a bold, conceptual offering that blurs the line between the personal and the performative, reflecting the many layers of her identity.

Earlier this year, Lexaay made her official debut at SXSW, performing four electrifying sets that introduced her full range as a live artist. From stripped-down vocals to full choreography, her performances left lasting impressions on both fans and industry insiders, signaling that her ascent is no longer a question of if, but when.

Offstage, Lexaay is grounded, curious, and growth-minded. She splits her time between studio sessions, live performance development, and working her 9-5 support job .Whether she’s performing with her chosen dance family, 4x World of Dance Champions, Team Athena or conceptualizing her next moment, her commitment to integrity and innovation remains central.

For Lexaay, artistry isn’t about performance alone but about creating something that moves people, stays with them, and tells the truth even when it trembles. Her work is for the ones who’ve ever felt too much, wanted too deeply, or dared to imagine themselves as more than one thing.

Because Lexaay isn’t just next up—she’s the blueprint for what it looks like when passion, precision, and purpose align.
